I'm trying to download VMLite XP Mode. I registered on the site. I go to the Products page, which shows the VMLite XP Mode Overview. I click on the Get It Today button, or I click on Download in the sidebar on the right. Either one takes me to the page vmlite.com/index.php/products/vmlite-xp-mode/download, which actually says it is for VMLiteWorkstationSetup.exe, which is not what I want. Nevertheless, I click the download button (whose link is vmlite.com/index.php/products/vmlite-xp-mode/download/download), and this only takes me to a page to edit my account details!

So: is it actually possible to download VMLite XP Mode from this site? If not, are there alternative sites? And ... if these people can't even set up a simple download page, why should I think they can create something as complex as a virtual machine and make it work?

Did you login the site first? click Login on the top corner, use your userid/password to login, then you will should be able to download. After login, you should see your userid displayed.

If this is not case, really sorry about the inconvenience. There may be some issues with our scripts.

Yes, I did register and log in. In the meantime, I decided to download VMLiteWorkstationSetup.exe, which is available on the downloads page. This has been successful. After I downloaded and installed it, it created a Windows XP Mode VM very easily, basing it on the XP vhd that Windows XP Mode had created. Perhaps this was what I was supposed to do all along; in fact, I just tried again (after a reboot), and this time, to my surprise, clicking the download button on the page vmlite.com/index.php/products/vmlite-xp-mode/download does actually start to download VMLiteWorkstationSetup.exe. So maybe it was just a temporary problem with cookies or something earlier.

Still, the way the site is set up, VMLite XP Mode looks like something different from VMLite Workstation. It's not clear that VMLite XP Mode is what you get when you download VMLite Workstation and let it import Windows XP Mode.

I see the confusion, XP Mode and VMLite Workstation are actually the same download. XP Mode is a feature offered through VMLite Workstation.

If you haven't spent too much time on v 3.1.2, better wait for 3.2.6 version, coming very soon.

I had this problem also, and being a Joomla user I wanted to blame it on some old seo cache in the system. However, using Chrome, I cleared browser data, re-logged in, and was good to go.
