Why Ubuntu 9.10 VHD VBooted can not be recovered from bad shutdown!? 10 Years, 5 Months ago Karma: 0
firstly, I'm sorry for my weak English and also I'm sorry for non-windows VBoot question
I know you don't have enough time for support your old products, but I want to know there is a chance for repairing VHD by myself!
I have installed Ubuntu 9.10 on a VHD and using it for compiling my apps, a day it hangs and I have to hard restart my laptop but after that it couldn't boot again and also VMLite couldn't open or boot it. Now, I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 and it's great but today I try Ubuntu 9.10 again and after completing install and when it was in its 'idle time' I start to moving mouse but it hanged and again it couldn't be booted!!!
I attached the screenshot for error message.
Can I repair VHD file?

you boot with a good VHD linux. Then using the following command to mount another vhd file.

sudo /sbin/vlosetup /dev/vloop1 /mnt/3/mint-9.vhd (/dev/vloop0 is used for the booting VHD, so use vloop1)

sudo mount /dev/vloop1p1 /mnt/your-mount-point

I booted my created Ubuntu 10.04 VHD, by GRUB4DOS.
There is no "/sbin/vlosetup"?

I found "vlosetup" in vboot version of "initrd" but now:
Code:

srazi@srazi-vlaptop:~$ sudo /sbin/vlosetup /dev/vloop2 /media/Win7/vboot/ubuntu-910/ubuntu-910-desktop-i386.vhd
srazi@srazi-vlaptop:~$ sudo mount /dev/vloop2p1 /home/srazi/Desktop/mnt-vhd910
mount: special device /dev/vloop2p1 does not exist
srazi@srazi-vlaptop:~$ sudo /sbin/vlosetup /dev/vloop2 /media/Win7/vboot/ubuntu-910/ubuntu-910-desktop-i386.vhd
vlosetup: /dev/vloop2: device is busy

"device is busy" shows that "vloseup" works but why "mount" says "/dev/vloop2p1" does not exist?
