There were a few updates for 3.1.2. Most likely, you 3.1.2 was not the correct build. (Sorry that we used exact same version, but released some updates)

Hi,

first please excuse me for my ebglish.

Today i try to run ubuntu-1004-desktop-amd64.vhd without success.
Does VBoot can boot vhd placed into raid array (raid 0) ?

I have 3 physical HDD :
hdd0 - hd0,0 - System reserved by my Windows Server R2
hd0,1 - System Volume C:
hdd1 - hd1,0 - Volume D: array raid 0

If .vhd is placed in volume D: (array 0) after select from VBoot menu
"VHD Ubuntu 10.04, Linux 2.6.32-21-generic", he told me that
can`t mount /root ...
can`t find .vhd in /home.... .vhd

OK, now i move .vhd to C: (non array volume) .. run setup64.exe .. and
reboot. After select to boot Ubuntu all looks good (Ubuntu start load)
.. but after 10-15 sec. my monitor just turn off .. my graphic card is
ATI Radeon 4870x2.

Can you help me?

Thank you in advance!!

I'm running W7 Ultimate 64bit too.

Are you running any (Intel FakeRaid) Raid disks?

I first had the VHD on a third partittion on the Raid disk and got the error. I had to move the VHD to a second drive which is not Raid. I then I had another problem..... it could find sdb1/boot to load the kernel

Setup64 saw the setup saw the Raid drive (disk 0) and my second drive (disk 1) and calculated the Linux dev as sdb1 for the kernel. However, the Grub/Linux cannot recognise the raid and sees the raid drive as 4 x individual drives. I changed sdb1 to sde1 in the grub.cfg and I got the 64bit Ubuntu to boot.

It booted to a corrupted screen because my NVIDIA card is a GTX260 and won't handle the VGA mode. nomodeset obviously gets me a command line. I don't know what to do!

How do I get the VHD to display correctly on my Grfx card?

I wonder if you can try to boot to text screen, then change XDisplay settings.

Or mount the vhd file on another linux system, then try to adjust the X settings to be super VGA.
