Can you run command prompt as Administrator? then go to the unzipped folder, and execute the following:

devcon.exe install vmlitediskmp.inf root\vmlitediskmp

and post the output.

Another thing, is it possible your PC is configured to block unsigned device drivers? If so, it may not allow to install our drivers.

While I'm not an expert on Windows 7 (having used it for less than a week), it is my understanding ALL copies of 64 bit Microsoft Windows 7 (and copies of 64 bit Vista. I believe) require (expensive to get, $500+ a year) signed drivers.

All of our drivers are digitally signed. I meant whether your PC requires Microsoft certificated drivers. Our drivers are signed, but does not pass Microsoft's LOGO programs.

can you run "devcon.exe dp_enum"? it prints out all 3rd party drivers.

and check if you find any entry containing "VMLite". If so, then delete it.
for example, run "devcon.exe dp_delete oem123.inf", where oem123.inf is the file with "VMLite"

I removed it, relisted them, and confirmed it was no longer there.

can you use devcon.exe to install the driver again?
