no, the published VMLite is not for that, it's for controlling PC from iPhone. However, we do have an iOS VNC Server for iPhone/iPad that works same as the android VNC Server, but not published yet.

Are you referring Linux as a guest? You can add a shared folder, when VM is running, go to Device > Shared Folders menu, and add a shared folder.

Inside linux guest, you need to install guest additions. then you can do something like this:

sudo mkdir /mnt/c
sudo mount -t vboxsf my-shared-folder-for-C /mnt/c

ls /mnt/c

You can try one of the following:

. use Real VNC Viewer client, it can scale the display automatically

. chaneg the Screen Scaling settings on our app, launch our app, click Menu button on the phone, go to Settings > Screen Scaling, change it to 0.5

I am using VMLite Workstation 3.2.6 version.

This is a criticism of VMLite Workstation that installs Guest Additions in virtual machine. When I installed it, the result shows that it is killing program process, such as svchost.exe, services.exe, etc. When I have finished installation, the Windows XP Shutdown window appeared in a screen, and then it rebooted it. And the installation was completed.

Please fix this problem. Thank you.

Hi,
VMLite XP Mode is no more shutting down via normal Windows button /Start/Shutdown, but only via ACPI Shutdown in machine control panel.
The problen occurs first after several XP sessions. At first normal Shutdown does not work after a longer session, but now it does not funktion at all.
It seems that anything in the machine changes in the course of time.
What is to do?

Hi,
sorry,I think I have posted this thread in a false forum.
I am posting it for the second time.
Hi VMLite staff,
VMLite XP Mode is not shutting down Windows when I use the Start/Shutdown button in Windows start bar. This problem occurs always, when I am working in XP Mode for a longer time.
After pressing Start/Shutdown button Windows freezes and does nothing more.
The only possibillity to close Windows is to activate ACPI Shutdown in the Machine Control Bar. Also restarting does not funktion.
What's wrong ?

Thank you, Huisinro for your answer.

I am running VMLite XP Mode on two machines, one with Win7x64 and the second one with Win8 core, also 64 bits.
On both machines I meet the same problem with my all interaktive electronic calculation tools, being compiled with Borland Pascal compilier.
As I have written, after starting, the main screen of a tool appears correctly with blinking cursor. But when I try to insert data for calculation, the whole VMLite machine crashes.
I am running these tools on my third machine working with regular XP Professional SP3 without any problem. This machine works with a high speed Intel i7-core processor, but its operation system is Win XP, because all our tools are not able to run on Win7 or Win8.

I have no non-interaktive programs running in DOS environment, so I can't say if the other, non-interaktive DOS programs meet the same problems in VMLite XP Mode machine.
If you wish, I could submit you such a small tool for testing via a mail,if you would give me a mailing address.

At least, as I have written, my tools are running in your machine in DOS Box Portable without any problem, but not via XP Mode directly.

Once more many thanks and regards - glen67

P.S. I have found that VMLite XP Mode also crashes totally, when I am closing the DOS Window/program without any data editing (the program will be opened and directly closed) and then I am starting any DOS program for the second time. In such a case VMLite crashes totally.
It seems that VMLite XP Mode has a great problem with executing programs in DOS environment!

Hi everyone,
I have a VM with Windows 2000 installed and working (due to very old app needed) but I can't print on the host (XP Sp3) connected HP P1100 Usb printer. In effect I had the prt drivers installed on W2000, when I try printing the normal printer queue window (in w2000) shows correctly the document, and the corresponding queue window in the host (XP sp3) shows also the same document, but it never gets printed, it stays forever in the queue whatever I do, even if I print something from the host XP it goes to the prt an on paper. I'm very puzzled by this and need help to solve.
Of course I've already verified that user permissions are ok, the prt is connected using correct username/pswd, etc.
Any help will be very appreciated.

Hi,
has nobody from the VMLite staff an answer? This is really a problem, which differs enormous the VMLite XP Mode from the regular XP. Is it a problem of VMLite or of Microsoft?
I can proceed my DOS programs in the DOS Box,running under VMLite XP Mode, but, however, this is not an intention. The VMLite XP Mode should run identical to regular XP,or not?

another option is to reverse connect to a viewer, this works from 3G network. Basically, you run tight vnc viewer in reverse listening mode, and then ask the VMLite VNC Server user to click Menu button on our app, click Reverse Connection, then enter an ip address of your viewer.

Again, you need to setup a port forwarding on your router, then use the router's IP address for the reverse connection.

To Huisinro: You still didn't fix this site problem like rules and FAQ and updating a new VBoot. Please explain to us, why can't you resolve this problem. We would like to know what is happening. Thank you.
