I recently installed VMLite on a new laptop and transferred the vhd file to the computer. I don't need a lot of the software I installed on the old computer on the new one so I uninstalled it but the vhd file is still listed as being the same size. Is there any way to compact a vhd?

if you have windows 7, you can run diskpart to compact the vhd file.

commands are like the following: (google for more instructions)

diskpart
select vdisk file=c:\your.vhd
compact vdisk
huisinro
